Sailing on the USA 76 - September 14, 2012

This is the USA 76 back in 2003 when it was used by the Oracle Racing team in the challenger
series for the 2003 America's Cup held in Auckland, New Zealand.
The boat beat all
comers until itlost to the Swiss team in the challenger series final. The Swiss went on
to beat Team New Zealand and become the only landlocked country to win the America's Cup.

Gettin' ready to set sail - Captain John is onboard the USA 76, which is 84 feet long and has a 115 foot long mast . It weighs
in at 25 tons, 19 of which are in the iron bulb keel, giving the boat incredible stability as you can see in the video below.
